Parc Provincial de Pike Lake

Pike Lake Provincial Park will appeal to those who want to experience an aspen parkland environment close to Saskatoon. This primarily recreational park, about 32 km southwest of Saskatoon, is located on the shore of Pike Lake, an oxbow created by the South Saskatchewan River. The park's 1.5 km nature trail begins at the interpretive center and provides an excellent opportunity to learn about the diversity of wildlife and ecosystems contained within the park. The pool is open from early June to Labor Day. The park includes a water park, beach, network of nature trails, golf course, miniature golf course, cabins, and a large campground on the lake's western shore. One of the smallest provincial parks in Saskatchewan, it has operated since at least the 1960s. The lake becomes an ideal skating surface when it freezes in winter under some light snow.
