For hundreds of years, the scenic Lac Pelletier Valley has been a prairie oasis for people who settled in the area. Since 1964, the regional park has been a popular recreation spot in southwestern Saskatchewan. The first French-speaking settlers called it “La Plume” lake. A spring-fed lake surrounded by cabins, campgrounds, and farmland that offer wonderful outdoor activities, summer and winter.
The park receives over 2,500 visitors each summer and there are around 310 cabins around the lake. Some people have even made the lake their year-round residence.
The park offers year-round family recreational activities for visitors, campers, and residents that everyone can participate in.
The nine-hole golf course with grass greens offers all levels of players a memorable experience.
Whether taking this incredible walk or venturing into this fascinating landform, the spectacular views of the lake and surrounding area will not disappoint. And don't believe what you hear: Saskatchewan is not “flat as a pancake”.
You may want to take advantage of golf car rentals if you don't have your own. Afterward, relax in the Hacker's Lounge chalet, reminiscing about the putt you should have made on your last golf course adventure.
Several unsupervised swimming areas around the lake appeal to children of all ages.
