Remai Modern

Remai Modern is the new source of pride for fine art lovers in the city of bridges. The Museum of Modern Art is located along the west bank of the South Saskatchewan River in the downtown River Landing neighbourhood. The 11,582- square-meter building houses a collection that includes more than 8,000 works by Canadian and international artists. Its collection consists of the former Mendel Art Gallery pieces plus a collection of over 400 linocuts and ceramics by Pablo Picasso. In addition, the museum organizes exhibitions and hosts numerous travelling exhibitions. Designed by the famous Canadian architect Bruce Kawabara, the museum offers a memorable experience with its exceptional luminosity.
