Going north to take Highway 2 through Assiniboia, then towards Gravelbourg, you may come across pronghorns, the fastest mammal after the cheetah, capable of reaching a 100-kilometer-per-hour speed. Even if they are more like a dromedary and a camel than African antelopes, they will capture your attention by their speed, their efficiency in throwing off the coyotes that follow their trail, and their way of passing under the lowest barbed wire, rather than jumping fences like white-tailed deer and mule deer. Admiring the antelopes in full flight leaves no one indifferent. The Fransaskois of the region also call them "cabris".
