Eastend

Population: 607 (2021 census)

At Gull Lake, West of Swift Current, take Highway 37 south to Shaunavon, then west to Eastend. This way allows you to experience the Highlands and the unusual relief as we come near the East Block of the Cypress Hills, although the Frenchman River is still close.

Not far from here, in 1991, the Royal Saskatchewan Museum paleontologists discovered the fossil of the largest tyrannosaur ever identified, affectionately named Scotty. In 2001, the T. Rex Discovery Center opened there and has since delighted paleontology enthusiasts.
