Cannington Manor Auto Tour
The Cannington Manor Auto Tour offers a detailed insight into the Cannington Manor area's history. The driving tour stops at 11 locations, including sites of historical significance to European settlers. Here are some examples: a house erected and used as a filming location for the W.O. Mitchell Who Has Seen the Wind film adaptation; Cannington Community Cemetery; and the Humphreys/Hewlett House, which was built in 1888. The driving tour includes a stop at Cannington Manor Provincial Park (entrance fees apply), Cannington Manor's original site. This provincial historic park is home to a variety of reconstructed buildings. Some feature a rope-making demonstration, the original 1885 All Saints Anglican Church, and unique artifacts that history buffs will appreciate.
