The Boreal Forest Route

(Prince Albert-Waskesiu-La Ronge)

There are several ways to get to Prince Albert National Park, but the Boreal Forest route is the quickest.
You could start from Prince Albert to stop at White Star, Henribourg, and Albertville. Take a detour by Emma Lake, Christopher Lake and Anglin Lake before getting to Elkridge. Then access Prince Albert National Park from the east side. Both paths will appeal to you.

Following road # 2 north, you will eventually arrive at La Ronge, the province's northern town, offering a view of a magnificent boreal lake, Lac La Ronge. You will find an authentic trading post still in operation: Robertson Trading Post. The Lac La Ronge Provincial Park is nearby. So is the Eagle Point Resort, owned by the Poirier family, who even built a magnificent 9-hole golf course there on the Canadian Shield, along with a restaurant and congress centre. That is something!
