Les sentiers du parc provincial Great Blue Heron

The Anglin Lake section borders Prince Albert National Park. Great Blue Heron Provincial Park offers plenty of year-round activities for all trail enthusiasts. The site offers over 20 km of beautiful hiking trails along the north shore of Jacobsen Bay, except in winter. Several shorter hiking trails around Anderson Point Campground (including a trail to Anderson's Hut, a historic site) and a challenging 3 km bike trail on the steep slopes of the Fire Tower Road are also to consider. Be sure to take in the views from the tower cabin, a great camping or picnic spot for hiking.

Anglin Lake offers excellent canoeing and kayaking opportunities. Boating enthusiasts may even want to plan an overnight trip in the spring or fall, as there is plenty of ground to cover and campsites near the shore.

In winter, the area is a cross-country and snowshoe oasis with over 20km of regularly groomed trails. It includes two warm-up zones, slopes and runs perfect for beginners, intermediates, and more advanced skiers. Ski or snowshoe to the tower cabin for a winter picnic or overnight camping. The park trails also connect to the beautiful Spruce River Highland Trail in Prince Albert National Park. Visitors must purchase a pass to use these trails.
