Les sentiers du parc national de Prince Albert
Prince Albert National Park is open year-round for you to explore. The park protects 3,875 km² of boreal forest and watersheds. The park displays an extensive network of maintained hiking trails and sandy beaches in the summer and shoulder seasons. Walk through the rolling forest along the boardwalks and moss-covered paths on the park's east side. Watch for wildlife like elk, deer, birds, bears and foxes. On the west side, enjoy scenic views, walk through fescue grasslands, and perhaps see the free-roaming plains bison that call the area home.
During winter, visitors have many options to enjoy the snowy landscapes and terrain. The park has approximately 55 km of groomed ski trails with varying degrees of difficulty, designated for skate skiing or classic cross-country skiing. The park also offers a range of designated snowshoeing and hiking trails near the Waskesiu Lake townsite or via easily accessible plowed winter roads.
