Big Eddy Lodge

Big Eddy Lodge is a multi-experience outfitter located in the original territory of the Carriere family for over 130 years. It is on the Saskatchewan River, 55 km upstream from Cumberland House — in the heart of the Saskatchewan River delta. Owner and operators Solomon and Renee Carriere live year-round at Big Eddy Lodge and raised their family there. The Cree knowledge of the land and the history of the Carriere family are the inspiration for Big Eddy Lodge. The rich ecosystem is home to moose, ducks, geese, white-tailed deer, black bears, wolves, lynx, countless boreal animals, and edible plants. Visitors can also admire the Northern Lights. The pavilion is isolated and accessible only by boat, canoe, snowmobile, or snowshoe. Services include hunting and fishing experiences, but also canoeing and fat tire bike experiences. The company is associated with Aski Holistic Adventures. Lodging is available in one of the rustic chalets. Take advantage of the sauna to complete your day of adventure.
