Lake Wakaw Regional Park
Park Description
313 site campground. Modern, clean washrooms. Boat launch and trailer storage with public day use dock. Nice beach with children's playground and concession Mini golf and toddler playground. Exceptional nine-hole scenic golf course with grass greens. Modern clubhouse with full service licensed restaurant. Marina docks with short-term and long-term boat storage and boat refueling station. Wakaw Lake supports good fishing for walleye, northern pike and perch. Boat re-fueling dock.
Local Services
Groceries, gasoline, boat and RV repair services, post office, hardware, drugstore, RCMP, Collaborative Emergency Centre (CEC) and Medical Clinic, liquor outlets, bowling alley and restaurants are available in the Town of Wakaw.
Park / Area History
Wakaw Lake Regional Park was founded in 1965 and is supported by the six local municipalities, being the Town of Wakaw, Town of Cudworth. R.M. of Hoodoo, R.M. of Fish Creek, R.M. of St. Louis, and the R.M. of Invergordon.
Barrier Free Access
Clubhouse and new washrooms are wheelchair accessible. Campground washrooms are limited by gravel approaches.
