Redvers Golf and Country Club
Fourteen original members founded the golf club in 1966, each of which received lifetime memberships for $5.00 only. We mention it as this golf course is a testimony of the community spirit its existence inspires. Howard Wright generously donated the land on which the course was built. Each hole was built by volunteers, originally from the sand greens. An old sheathing room was used as the first Clubhouse. The course started operating in 1970, with memberships costing
$10.00. A new clubhouse was also built in 1970 to serve members better.
In 2000, work began on installing grass greens and an irrigation system. In 2013 it was decided to start the construction of a new modern pavilion. The new pavilion was completed and opened in 2014, with its unique location behind the Recreation Center on Methuen Street. The golf course is an asset to the community, attracting many visitors and creating a dozen jobs yearly. The community claims this is one of the best 9-hole courses in Southeast Saskatchewan. According to the latest news, you could play golf there while admiring pretty plots of a natural meadow. Please note schedules change depending on whether – a Saskatchewan reality. Spring and early summer favour beautiful twilight golf experiences.
